1000 Islands Canada Tour – No Passports Required

Join us for a Unique Tour of the 1000 Islands not seen on other US tours!

Marvel at the natural beauty of these less inhabited islands with tranquil bays, marshes, and scenic shorelines as we discover birds and wildlife that inhabit the region. The Natives knew this beautiful collection of islands as Manitoana or the “Garden of the Great Spirit”.

Enjoy an intimate boat tour without stopping through U.S. and Canadian waters on the St. Lawrence River as we glide among the islands between the mainland of Clayton, NY and Gananoque, CA. This Tour circumnavigates Grindstone Island, the 2nd largest American Island, and the largest island never connected by bridge or ferry system to either mainland. The first settlement on Grindstone occurred in 1804 and a few hearty families continue to reside here during the cold winter months, while during the summer the population grows to over 700. The Island is home to one of the few natural occurring beaches in the region, 2 New York State Parks, once active granite quarries, over 14 miles of unpaved roads, and home to the last one-room Schoolhouse in New York State which closed in 1989.

Meander among Canadian National Parks and narrow channels of the Lake Fleet and Admiralty Island groups as our naturalist guide shares the history of how the war of 1812 shaped the border between the United States and Canada and how the islands of this unique archipelago were named.

The only US scheduled public tour to circumnavigate Grindstone Island, the fourth largest of the 1000 Islands, second largest American island, and the largest island not connected by bridge or ferry system to either mainland.
